Personalized Weight Loss

We understand that the most effective way for you to lose weight is through an individualized program designed especially for you. Each person is different. At A NEW YOU, we listen to what makes you different. What are some of the weight loss issues you are experiencing? Do you want to lose 10 pounds, 30 pounds, or 100 pounds? Are you having a problem with portion control? Do you have a problem with emotional or binge eating? Do you feel your metabolism is slow?

A person is the sum of their emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual health. They all are important in determining how to approach helping someone lose weight. Dr. Eberwein feels it's important that a physician learns about each person so as to better know how to help them lose weight. After listening to why you came into the office and what your goals are, he will obtain your medical and family history. Dr. Eberwein will review your age, weight, BMI, and Body Fat Analysis. Then, together, you both will come up with a medical weight loss plan that not only works but one that you will actually be able to adhere to.
We will monitor your progress and make the necessary adjustments that will allow you to best achieve your short and long-term goals. However, our primary goal is to help you reach your target weight quickly and easily. We also realize the importance of maintaining your weight loss permanently.

If you book an appointment today, you will learn about our approach to treating each of our patients in a completely unique manner. You will receive a customized weight loss program just for you. We will then monitor your weight loss and develop a successful program to help make you lose weight and keep it off.

Still undecided about whether to start a personalized weight loss program?

Low-calorie diets may facilitate rapid weight loss, particularly in problem areas like the buttocks, hips, thighs, and stomach. In recent years, these diets have drastically increased in popularity and have been regarded as a quick and safe way to lose weight.

A very low-calorie diet consists mostly of lean meat, vegetables, and fruit. Only water, tea, and coffee beverages are allowed with certain types of sugar substitutes. Our Doctors and medical team advise you on making the appropriate food choices while on a low-calorie diet.

Fasting Mimicking Diet

About ProLon®

ProLon is a plant-based meal plan that lasts for five consecutive days. The diet includes soups, crackers, energy bars, energy drinks, and supplements, all designed to nourish the body and facilitate healthy changes.

While on the ProLon diet, the body goes into a fasting mode. In this state, the cells go into a protective mode which ultimately promotes health and longevity. After completing the 5-day diet, one returns to their normal diet for the remainder of the month and experiences the rejuvenating and regenerative impact of going through this Fasting Mimicking Diet.

The Science Behind ProLon®

Many preclinical and clinical studies to understand the drivers for aging and human healthspan have been conducted by the Longevity Institute at USC under the sponsorship of the National Institute of Aging and the National Institute of Health. This work serves as the foundation of the proprietary Fasting Mimicking Diet(FMD™).

The Fasting Mimicking Diet Can Result In…

  • Weight loss
  • Decreased abdominal fat
  • Stem cell regeneration
  • Preservation of lean body mass
  • Maintenance of healthy levels of:
  • Cholesterol
  • Glucose
  • C-reactive protein (an inflammation marker)
  • Insulin-like growth factor 1 (a mortality marker)

The most well-known and popular dermal filler treatment, Botox®, has established its excellent reputation through years of use and many patients who swear by it. Stubborn lines, wrinkles, and creases may be effectively diminished after injection treatment.

Our Miami weight loss doctors are serving Botox and our other services to our South Miami patients and surrounding areas. Those include Palmetto Bay, Old Cutler, Coral Gables, Kendall, and Doral, although we see patients from all over.

Botox® is a dermal filler treatment, injected via a fine needle, which restores a youthful appearance to the skin, and is regularly used to minimize fine lines and wrinkles that result from the process of aging. Also called Botulinum toxin type A, Botox® is produced from a refined bacterium and works by temporarily paralyzing the facial muscles, giving skin a smoother, firmer, and more youthful appearance.

If you're looking for Body Aesthetics services, please visit our Venus Legacy page.

Botox® has maintained its popularity because patients have found that the treatments have given consistent benefits such as increased self-esteem, temporary filling of wrinkles, creases, and fine lines, treatment of migraine headaches, alleviation of overactive bladder symptoms, and the treatment of increased underarm perspiration.

Anyone seeking a more youthful appearance may be a good candidate for Botox® treatment. Research has found that this is an excellent preventative treatment for younger skin to ward off wrinkles as you age. It is also an appropriate treatment for mature skin that has lost its elasticity and firmness. If you are unhappy with the presence of wrinkles, creases, and fine lines, Botox® may be your solution.

Botox® is administered by injection using a very thin, fine-gauge syringe. The number of injections required for each treatment depends on the number and severity of wrinkles, creases, and fine lines. In most cases, a single treatment performed in our office lasts about four to six months, and patients regularly return for ongoing treatments. Over time, the facial muscles become retrained, and patients require fewer follow-up treatments.

When scheduling your Botox® consultation with A NEW YOU, please let us know if you have received any other injections over the prior four months, as well as whether you take certain medications, such as aspirin and other blood thinners, allergy medications, sleep aids, NSAIDS, or muscle relaxers. You may have to temporarily suspend medications while receiving Botox® treatments.
